What is AIMO?
Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Open (AIMO Open)

It is an annual international Olympiad competition originated from Hong Kong. It is organized by the Asia International Mathematical Olympiad Union since 2012. AIMO Union is an international charitable organization with a mission to provide teenagers from different countries with an international platform to explore their mathematical potential, broaden their mathematical horizon, improve their scientific thinking, engage in cultural exchange, and enhance friendships.
This competition has been running internationally in several countries and regions including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Myanmar, Bulgaria, Turkey, and the Philippines. AIMO Union has held AIMO in partnership with top mathematical institutions worldwide and has provided illuminating challenges and nurtured many talented students.
In recent years, AIMO Union has emphasized the importance of happy and diverse learning. To further showcase the beauty of Mathematics and stimulate students’ interest, AIMO Union has established World Mathematics Games Open (WMGO). The platform provides a professional opportunity for all students to learn Mathematics by playing different kinds of Mathematics games. Through playing these games, students can develop various cognitive skills such as shape, logic, space, and numbers. Talented students with different strengths can explore their mathematical potential through playing Mathematics games, regardless of their reading ability.
By holding both AIMO Open and WMGO, AIMO Union aims to scout for more Mathematics talents and promote quality Mathematics education further.
All participants in the AIMO Final will be automatically enrolled in WMGO, providing them with the opportunity to discover the beauty of Mathematics through gameplay. We hope that children will enjoy both playing and learning through WMGO, and that more talented students will be discovered as a result.
