- Contest Overview: Organised by the Mathematical Association of American, the American Mathematics Competition for the cycle of 2024-25 will begin from November 2024 starting with
- *American Mathematics Competition 10A-7th Nov 2024(For Grades 10 and below)
- *American Mathematics Competition 12A – 7th Nov 2024 (For Grades 12 and below)
- *American Mathematics Competition 10B-13th Nov 2024(For Grades 10 and under)
- *American Mathematics Competition 12B-13th Nov 2024(Grades 12 and under)
- *However the window for the AMC 10 B & 12B Contest will open with a shorter window from 10am till 7pm on 13 Nov 2024(Singapore time,last login is 7pm).
- American Invitational Mathematics Exam (II) [AIME -(II) on 13th Feb 2025, Thu (Invited candidates only.Only AIME-II will be offered to schools outside of the U.S & Canada)
- **Candidates can register for more than 1 competition as long as the contest does not fall on the same day. Hence candidates CANNOT register for both AMC 10A and 12A but they can register for AMC 10A and 12B.
- Aim of the Contest:*Promote the development and enhancement of problem solving skills.*Fosters excitement, enthusiasm and positive attitudes towards Mathematics through contest that is also fun.*Questions range from easy to very difficult and covers a wide range of topics including questions involving everyday applications to appeal to a broad range of students.*
- Contest Format: Students have to complete 25 multiple-choice-questions within 75 minutes. 6 marks for a correct response, 1.5 marks for a blank and 0 for incorrect answers.Total 150 marks.NO calculator is allowed.
- Eligible Grades: AMC 10 A/B: Students in Grades 10 and below as of Nov 2024. AMC 12 A/B, students have to be in Grades 12 and below as of Nov 2024
- Topics:Topics covered in the AMC 10 includes mathematics topics up to 10th grade, such as elementary algebra, area and volume formulas, basic geometry, elementary number theory, and elementary probability. Topics for the AMC 12 covers the entire high school math curriculum, including trigonometry, advanced geometry, advanced algebra, and excluding calculus.
- Awards/Certificates: Honor Roll of Distinction(Awarded to the top 1% of scorers),
- Distinction -(Awarded to the top 5% of scorers).
- Achievement Roll, awarded to candidates who have obtained a score of at least 90/150 and are in Grade 8 and below when writing the contest for the AMC 10 and Grades 10 and below for the AMC 12.

FAQS About the AMC 10/12 Competition
These are the frequently asked questions. Please go through them this period as we may not be able to reply to your queries individually to prepare for the forthcoming AMC 10/12 Competition Y 2024-25
- When is the AMC 10/12A Competition?==> 7th Nov 2024(Thursday), one day after the official US time due to the time difference
- When is the AMC 10/12B Competition?==> 13th Nov 2024(Wednesday), one day after the official US time due to the time difference
- Where is the venue for the competition?==> For Open category contestants, the contest will be held as an online competition. The test link will be open from 9am - 7:45pm. That means that you will be able to write the contest at any convenient 75-min block within this time frame.Please ensure that your device has a camera and screen capture is enabled.
- What is the difference between the A and B Contest?==> There is essentially no difference n the level of difficulty in the AMC A or B Contest. However candidates who are in Grades 8 and below taking the AMC 10A or 10B wit a score of at least 90( within the top 10%) will be awarded the Achievement Certificate. Same applies for candidates in Grades 10 and below taking the AMC 12A or AMC 12B Contest. Candidates who take 2 competitions have 2 chances to qualify for the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME-I) on 2nd Feb 2024 ( 1:30-4:30pm). Please note that there is only 1 timing for the AIME-I and you may need to apply for a leave of absence to take the AIME-I if you qualify.

Preparatory Course 2024
We have been conducting AMC 10/12 Workshops since 2012.
Last year we have conducted a series of Complimentary workshops for participants from Singapore.
By using virtual means such as zoom, we are able to reach out to more particiapnts from overseas countries and territories.
We will inform you once the dates are confirmed for 2024-25 Competition so your students can join us at no charge.
